I know on the Revue about pressing Con/Alt/Del and about holding the reset button for about 45 seconds for a factory rest, but on the GS7 outside of unplugging how do we perform both resets?During several hours of browsing and such I've had to unplug, but was just curious. Mike

    Hi,

Revue reboot: Ctrl + Alt + DEL
    GS7: Power button Off/On

Revue FR: press pairing button for 40 sec.
GS7 FR: Settings > Privacy & Safety > Factory data reset.

On GS7, I think pressing pairing button for over a minute may FR (didn't try it).

For the GS7, you can also perform a soft reboot by hitting CTRL + FN + ESC + BACKSPACE ... One of those commands might be unnecessary, but I just mashed all of those together and the system rebooted.

I am having Google TV player and connected to Samsung TV.

It stopped working for last 1 week. When i switch on the player, i am getting 6 alerts everytime.
    1. process antroid.process.media has stopped unexpectedly.
    2. process.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly.
    3. process.com.android.vending has stopped unexpectedly.
    4. process com.google.android,music:main has stopped unexpectedly.
    5. process com.sony.bivl has stopped unexpectedly.
    6. process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.

I am not able to do factory reset. When i try to click Privacy & safety, i am getting the below alert message.
    process com.google.tv.settings has stopped unexpectedly.

It is not allowing to get into submenu to choose Factory data reset option.
Do you have any other option to do factory reset.

    Thanks,
    Mani

Turn the GS7 device over, so that the "connect button" on the underside of the device is accessible.

Pull the power plug out of the device.

Press the "connect button" in with a pen and keep it pressed while plugging the power plug back into the device.

Keep pressing the "connect button" with the pen in until a menu appears on your HDTV screen.

You can stop pressing the "connect button" when the menu appears.

With your GS7 remote (or k700 keyboard), click the menu option #1 "Factory Reset."

On the next screen click "Power Off."

If you click "Power Off" on this second screen, but instead of powering off it just goes back to the original menu screen, just click the "Power Off" option on this first menu screen.

Once powered off, you should get the "set up" process. Now, Just follow the Factory Reset prompts.

This method of Factory Reset is useful when, on a routine reboot, although you can get the "Sony logo" and "paper shredding graphic" on the reboot, you can't get as far as connecting to the GoogleTV home page (just a never ending "load circle") to access the factory reset option within the GoogleTV settings.

I didn't check to see if this is mentioned at one of the referenced links but for those of us using the Logitech Revue K700 keyboard with the NSZ-GS7/GS8, the reboot command ctr+alt+del works the same as the Logitech Revue.

No doubt in the FAQ's somewhere, but you can do a Ctrl-Shift-Backspace on the GS7's keyboard to reboot.
