I have all my movies on a hard drive that is attached to my airport express, I'd like to be able to watch them on my TV.

I downloaded the ViMu lite app, hoping that would find the drive, but it doesnt seem to see it.

Is there another app I should be using?

If I connect the drive directly to the NSZ-GS7, can I connect to and add movies to the drive over the network?

    Thanks in advance, ad

ViMu should be able to connect, Of course I don't have an aiport express so I cannot confirm for sure, but it is just a network share is it not? ViMu will not find it through dlna, Airport Express is not a DLNA certified device, I would think you should be able to connect via network share structure with ViMu. I am guess you will not find it under windows share. Have you tried adding it manually via ip/shared folder?

Also the next question... what is the drive formatted as? That could be part of the problem, I am not sure what formats the GS7 supports directly but that is definitely something to check. I am assuming other devices on your network are able to connect to the drive.

Hmmm, I am kinda at a loss, I don't have any apple products so I am not tooo familiar, I somewhat have a feeling that might be part of the problem but I could be wrong. Does it access it when it is plugged in direct to the GS7? If not that would be my first guess is the format of the drive, second guess would be to check "how" it is being shared on the network ie; is it a samba type share, nfs or something else I am not thinking of at the moment.
