Has anybody figured how to add a new favorite on the 'es file explorer' app? There are four default favorites already present but I want to add some more and can't figure how to do it.

    It's doing my head in......

It's press-and-hold on the phone. Can you select-and-hold on the remote?

Long pressing the 'OK' button does present a menu but there is no 'add to favorites' option.

Hi Wisdom, please read the thread title. I'm trying to add favorites within the 'ES File Explorer' app and NOT Co-Star favorites. Thanks.

Then use the real File Explorer, The app, "Root File Explorer" and go to all areas of the internal maps of the Co-star, that ES File Explorer is a joke ...

PS Don't ask if my Co-Star is ROOTED, you know the answer to that already, yeah ...(lol)

The reason I use ES File Explorer is because of SMB support, Root File Explorer doesn't seem to have this! My original query still stands.

This is one well hidden feature! I knew how to do it once, forgot it, found this thread and didn't find the answer. So now that i rediscovered how to do it i thought i'd share :)

You can't do it from within the folder itself. You need to go up a level, then long press the folder and select favorite from the context menu.
Removing them from the favorite list is a lot easier. Long press the entry in the list, and the context menu will let you remove it as you'd expect.

    ^^^
Thank you. This worked ok for local files/folders although you cannot add a favorite for non local sources, i.e NET and LAN etc! I guess it's a limitation of the app.
