How do I reset the keyboard/remote? I wasn't paying attention and stopped holding down the fn and enter key before the orange led stopped blinking. Now if I take the batteries out wait half a minute and pop them back in or restart the box the orange key never blinks.

I'm about to throw this p.o.s. away this is nuts, the keyboard appears to be dead now...

Sony failboating again with the ridiculous nonsense, I mean how can a keyboard/remote just up and die like that and then stop responding completely, looks like now I'm out 87 bucks and will probably have to buy yet another keyboard/remote.

Coming from a Sony BetaMAX Fan I'm SMH at this.

Sony had me test it and do a few other things even the camera test and no led indication from the ir panel of the remote and he said my remote was dead, how can this be when it was just working earlier.

I don't know of any tricks to try to bring it back to life and it does seem odd.

Oh well I'm contacting the seller to hopefully get a partial refund, upon testing I found that there batteries already in it and one of the batteries had white corrosion build up on, could be a likely culprit to my problems.

    Hey n1nj4Lo,

I'm sorry you had to deal with all that crap with your Sony GT1 all those years ago. If you keep it around you might be able to get another remote for cheap. I think I found some options on ebay.

That aside, you mentioned a root bundle from demonoid which ain't around anymore. It surprised me you brought that up in 2015 since I'm almost certain they patch it before 2013. Do you know what version firmware you were running, and is there any chance you could share the bundle if you still have it. Say what you will, but I have the GT1 and the GS7 and I think they're awesome, but they'd be even better with some hacks.

Sorry to bring up the past.

    Thanks

My short answer is maybe. You'll have to look for an older version of the sling TV app and sideload it. I was extremely surprised when I once got a 5 year old sling TV app to work with my 7 year old box so sling clearly has pretty good support for older app versions but that was part of an iPhone whited00r setup I had. If you want latest version then you'll have to look elsewhere. See what you can find and let me know. If you need more of an explanation beyond what I mention here then I'd just move on if I were you. That's my advice. Or get a refurbished Roku for $20 which should work with your sling. One hint - try to sideload an update to Google play store and services. If you find the right files, it can really help add support for a few additional apps.
