UPDATE- This has been solved. See my last post for details.

Has anyone had any luck pairing the Costar to a Dish Duo VIP722k receiver? I have tried all of codes that are built into the Costar but still unable to connect. In the device menu I have tried adding it through the "DVR" menu as well as through the "cable box" with the following Brand/Model combinations:
    • Dish Duo VIP722k
    • Dish 722k
    • Dish 722
    • Dish VIP722k
    • Echostar 722k
    • Echostar 722
    • Echostar VIP722k
    • Echostar Duo VIP722k
    • And even the Dish 922DVR
...yet none of the codes have worked. Neither the first one provided nor the extra (5) codes provided if the 1st doesn't work. There is an option to manually enter a 4 digit code but I can't find that code ANYWHERE. I have called both Vizio and Dish (Tech and Broadband Support) NUMEROUS times yet both refer me to the other company. I did find (in this forum) that someone mentioned having to have Dish Tech support provision a "Record Plus" (or "DVR Integration" depending on which rep you talk to) and then your box would give you a 4 digit code. Well, I have had that code added/deleted/re-added three times now and it has yet to give me a code. So does anyone have the code or have any suggestions for me? Does the receiver need to be in Single or Dual mode specifically to receive the code? I was really looking forward to this little bugger working so REALLY don't want to give up and return it so REALLY would appreciate any suggestions you may have!

    Thank you!!

Sorry to hear about your troubbles. I have the VIP 722k and once I got the tech to add the record plus feature to my sat box I went into menu, then system set up, then into installation, next go into TV enhancements and make sure they are enabled. Once this is done go back to the device set up on the co-star and try to pair as a Dish VIP 722K DVR. You should get a small window showing the current channel that the box is tuned too. You will also get a 4 digit code to put into the co-star. If not my last resort is to factory reset the co-star and start from scratch. I had to do this once after a update. My Dish box is paired up perfectly with my co-star and the remote even controlssome of the functions on the sat box. Hope this helps.

Ya I have done this as well. For whatever reason the code just will not pop up for me. =( Is there a specific requirement for the HDMI cable? Read somewhere that 1.4 was the latest and greatest.

Yes it is. Both the co-star and the sat box are on the same network.

Finally figured this daggum thing out. Long story short, you MUST have your Dish receiver connected to the internet. Though my Costar was connected via WiFi and I was using a 1.4 Ethernet capable HDMI cable to connect to my Dash receiver, it would NOT pair. When I connected the receiver to the internet the Costar recognized it immediately and have me the elusive pairing code. Didn't even have to reset the costar or anything. Thank you all for your help. Finally get to have some fun! =)
