there's so many now coming on board making google tv,If anything I'm sure they'll just rebrand those boxes as android tv..same happened with webtv/msntv..but that was dialup..this is broadband,I'm pretty sure things will be okay :)

CNet's article predicts that the rebranding and the announcement of new partners will happen at CES in January.

Well that is a longer time than expected. I am happy enough with what my GTV can currently do. I don't mind the wait just wish they would announce it officially so that A) people won't abanodon the platform over the holidays B) I won't have to check the forums and Google + every day for updates....LOL

Not drinking this Kool-Aid. We have been promised an amazing Jellybean update to our boxes and all we have is zilch. I have move on to the Roku3. Not as fancy or trendsetting but it works.

No Kool-Aid necessary, use what works for you and gets you the content you want. I retired my Roku-2 a while ago, but recently resurrected it to put on another TV around the house. *shrugs*

Yeah I'm waiting for the update as well. My co star hasn't been hooked up for months now. Got tired of factory restting the damn thing.
