I transfered a .mp4 to /sdcard/movies, when I tried to watch the .mp4 it wouldn't play. So I decided to delete it from the media player, but it said the sdcard was protected and I couldn't delete it. I then tried to go to /sdcard/movies in Root Explorer, but the file doesn't show up even though you can tell the file is there because its taking up alot of the available space. I even tried to just delete the Movies folder, but it still shows that the file is there in media player. I decided to use adb. Here is what I did: C:\Users\Zane>adb shell # cd /sdcard/Movies cd /sdcard/Movies # ls ls Into the Wild.mp4 # rm -r Into the Wild.mp4 rm -r Into the Wild.mp4 rm failed for Into, No such file or directory # cd /sdcard cd /sdcard # rm -rf Movies rm -rf Movies # ls ls Alarms Android DCIM Download Movies Music Notifications Pictures Podcasts Ringtones data # I cannot figure out why it liist the file, but will not let me delete it. Or why it will not delete the Movie folder even when I force the removal. Any ideas?
