I recently purchased cable TV through Surewest in California. When I connected it to my Co-Star the cable broadcast continually skips. I have no idea what is causing this. Has anyone had this issue and if so how did you correct it?
It appears you may be losing signal, or may have a weak signal. Are you using good highly rated hdmi and coax cabling? The old style coax cable is typically not rated for High Definition. I upgraded all coax to quad shield. Might also try relocating cables away from any transformers or power supplies. I've read online that the cable company can also increase (regulate) the signal from the road. Edit: The cable from the road may also be suspect (worn or torn, taking on water; dew and rain).
i just got Comcast/xfinity HD and plug it in my co star and i get the skipping sound too.if i plug the hdmi into the tv only i dont get skipping sound.only when its plugged into the co star. =/
