Belkin's Answer To Google TV Is Finally Here | Gizmodo Australia "Announced last month for North America, the Belkin @TV is finally set to hit Australian retail shelves, albiet carrying a local price premium. The @TV is a PVR that connects to your TV and various media inputs to record content, which you can then stream to any Android or iOS device with Wi-Fi and the @TV app. The @TV Plus is on sale right now for $199.95 locally and the companion app is free for tablets and $13.99 for smartphones."
I looked up the product on the Belkin web site. It's called "Belkin @TV Plus" and retails for $179.99 in USA. Belkin @TV plus G1V1000 From the Belkin web site: "Watch live and recorded TV on your mobile devices-anywhere. @TV turns your smartphone or tablet into a TV, so you can watch your favorite shows, movies and sporting events anytime, anywhere. @TV plays exactly whatever is on your TV at home, so you can watch live TV, or anything recorded on your DVR. It's just like being in your living room, except you can be anywhere you need to be. Watch anywhere, in and out of home. Watch on a single Wi-FiĀ®/3G or 4G device when away from home or up to eight devices when using your Wi-Fi network." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This product seems interesting - but I don't really see it as a competitor to Google TV. They are 2 distinctly different products with different functions. On Amazon the price is also $179.99. It currently has 19 customer reviews on Amazon - and an excellent rating of 4.4 (out of 5) stars: http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-TV-Plus-Television-Anywhere/dp/B0089L4TL8
