I was trying to watch a Blu Ray last night and the audio is only partially working. The sound effects and music are working, but the audio for the actors spoken lines are not working at all. I also tried with another disc and same issues. I have the HDMI from the Sony GTV Blu Ray player going through my Denon AVR 1911 receiver. I only have 2 speakers attached to it. Are there any settings that I need to change? Any help would be appreciated.

The Blu-Ray is probably sending 5.1 or 7.1 audio to your receiver, and your receiver is probably channeling the audio to the vacant speakers. You'll have to go through your options of the Denon AVR 1911 receiver to down convert the multi-speaker audio into two channel stereo.

Thank you. This worked. The receiver was set to having a Sub and Rear speakers. I now have Full audio on the Blu Ray.
