GTVhacker • View topic - Confirmed Working Apps
Confirmed: this app installs no problem and plays movies on GTV! It is the Google Play TV and Movies App. You may need to initiate your rental on a PC with Google Play and then launch the App on GTV and enjoy. Let us know if any of you are able to rent a move directly from the App on your GTV.
This works in Canada and the USA so far.
I was able to also watch the rented movie from the You Tube App on GTV by going to the My You Tube - Rentals section after renting from my PC.
Can you please post this application here I do not have access to the drop box

Please go to the GTVHacker link in the 1st post to get the App. I don't want to step on any toes.
I was going to post a link on here, but being my post count isn't 10 or greater i guess i will post it on another forum.
I also wonder how many people from this forum have access to my drop-box account for GTV?
That will all end tonight.....
The 10 post requirement was put into effect to control the many spammers that would register on the forum - and then proceed to immediately bombard the forum with useless links to spam. It's a control procedure that effects everyone - but it also helps to make the forum a better place - so don't take it personally.
Spoke to gtvfriends privately and we are good now! I even received a thanks for one of my posts where I give him credit for this great discovery.
We should make an exception for GTV Friends to post a link here now. I have not given anyone access to his drop box account and the link in the 1st post is where one could ask him for it should they want the App/Movie Rental work around!
Cudos on a great web site: http://gtvfriends.com/
Confirmed: I can now rent a movie from my PC from this link and watch a rented movie on the GTV You Tube App, My You Tube -Rentals ! This may also work from chrome on GTV but I am not going to push my luck.
Movies - YouTube
I find pathetic begging for access to a stupid drop box account. Good find but he doesnt own the IP...
jTV, there is no pathetic begging required for access to my drop box account. If i remember correctly the last drop box account that was up and running from the GTVHacker forums was completely destroyed by everyone and anyone having access to it. People were adding and deleting apk's everyday. I share access to my drop box to anyone that asks for access, it does not matted what forum you are from. all you have to do is ask and i will share.
I believe that's why the owner of the original drop box account shut it down, it just got out of control.............
Just thank Gtvfriends and PM him why the agro?
Logged into you tube on chrome and my rented movies show up and when I select play it GTV asked if I want to play it on chrome or on the You Tube App. It will play fine on the You Tube App but not on chrome. I may try to rent another movie soon from chrome on GTV to see if that works as well as so far I thought I was limited to initiating the rental from a non-GTV device.
Rented a movie tonight from You Tube Movies from Chrome on GTV. It then asked if I wanted to play the movie on Chrome or You Tube so I placed a check mark on always remember my selection and chose You Tube. The You Tube App launched automatically and played the movie almost immediately. It takes a few seconds to buffer and the video quality on my 50" plasma tv is fantastic. So there you have it You Tube movies now work on GTV!
You have 3 days to watch a rented movie from the time you hit play or 30 days from the time you click rent and pay up.
I found this today. The free App on Google Play that will do the trick side loaded:
OK so I finally got another member of the household interested in playing around with GTV. And it was to search out, rent and watch a movie. So that's something right?
If you go to the rentals section of the you tube app and click on the only selection there you can then rent a movie which will play on your GTV!
What we can expect soon from GTV on this front:
