The Amazon App Store runs fine on my Google TV boxes. I didn't side load the app, just installed it from Amazon directly according to the Amazon instructions, very simple. I don't find many apps at Amazon compatible with Google TV but I do have a few.

Thanks Eric., But the dropbox link above is giving me a no parsing error. I tried again loading straight up from Amazon and still same error- it crashes right away.

That's weird, be sure RAM is free and no other apps are running and see if it loads. I just loaded the most recent version on one of mine but my method of using Google TV may prevent it from crashing on launch, nothing else is going on with my Google TV.

I know it is not really running "perfectly" but...
Should I post a topic of how I got my box to the peak of perfection to help out?

Yes, if the Amazon App Store opens without crashing, it is certainly relevant. I believe you are running a side loaded Benchmark app to keep yous running optimally although I haven't seen anybody else report on using that app.

    Settings >Application> manage apps.
First page shows storage (I'm at 2.2 gb used/ 2.7 gb free)
Click right will show running processes (440 mb used/ 259mb free)
Third page is the same as the first

An easy way to clear RAM is by running Smart RAM Booster, a free app from the Play Store. It will shut down apps, clearing RAM and I bet the Amazon App Store will load after running it. Of course manually shutting down all apps works too.

Either that one or Memory Booster.
Don't forget to set up your ignore list to prevent sensitive apps you use the most from closing.
You do not want to lose an entire session of a certain app just by using another one for a while.

Ironically I don't have the Amazon Store app installed.
It is just too much trouble for me since I have to newly join the entire amazon community, just to use it.
Though I found out by opening it while installed on my system.
I got my copy straight from the amazon website.
No force closing with me from viewing the login phase.

I just want to help by explaining what I did with my GS7 throughout the past months that made it what it is today.
The many changes my GTV has went through may help others get theirs to run apps that have previously always force closed.

One thing I do to this day is keep my storage space low by using a side-loaded 7zipper 2.0 to clean it up manually with "SD Card Usage" by deleting individual folders.
I am at less than 1G of storage at 800+MB with an occasional file count below 700.

I guess I should make that topic now,in the General Forum.

The Wifi AdBlocker can be stopped until needed again by clicking the ad blocker enabled button.
When disabled,it uses the annoyingly slow to reconnect DHCP connection, and if you change anything, you will have to use the Overwrite/Repair Wifi button again, which is found in Wifi AdBlocker's settings,to re-allow the ad blocking function.
One problem with the Wifi AdBlocker is that some sites like knowyourmeme refuse to load at all with ad blocking enabled.
Other certain sites can take little longer to start loading when it is enabled.
It should be mainly used to block the ones that create new windows or navigate you away from the site.

The new window ads, when multiple, can kill off your original window/s,forcing you to open it again from the recently closed section, only for it to happen again.
Wifi AdBlocker eliminates that new window ads issue.
