I purchased my sony box several days ago and am having all kinds of connectivity issues. It's dropping the wireless connection even though is says signal strength is excellent. Pages are hanging or saying temporary unavailable. It is so bad I had to post to this forum using my laptop.

I moved my wireless router next to the unit and same problem. All my other wireless devices are working fine. Any suggestions?

I'd say hard wire it. Try it then.

I have heard of others having this wireless problem. Haven't seen a good fix as of yet.

Also it's worth switching channels on the router..from say channel 6 to channel 1...often that alone can cure wireless connectivity problems, especially in a busy wlan area (heavy residential, etc.)

I run 3 different wireless routers on my home system. Each one for specific devices. Not sure if others do this, I do it to lighten the load, and use different channels, on each Wireless Router.

This is a major issue for me! I'm considering returning it. I've only had it 3 days. I know it's not my router, my laptop stays connected. I also only have 3 devices connecting via wireless including the gbox. I've talked to Sony support twice, useless.

I returned my original unit and got another from the Sony store (Original was from Best Buy). The new unit has not dropped my wifi once. I've been testing everything and so far it's all working. I think there might be defective units out there.
