    Hi. That's an interesting article. Google TV is supposed to support HLS. There was a rumor that NBC was going to have a GTV compatible app soon. If so I think it would use this new Adobe Primetime app that NBC & Comcast signed on for. See link below:

    Currently the Comcast Xfinity web site requires Flash 11 - thus it doesn't work with GTV. And the NBC web site blocks the GTV browser. IMO if NBC comes out with a GTV app it will likely require authentication of a pay TV subscription to view all of the full episodes.

    By the way Google doesn't plan on updating GTV to Flash 11 - and eventuallly they want to purge Flash from the GTV browser altogether. Their hope is that apps such as the Adobe Primetime app, Adobe Air apps, and HTML5 in the browser will take over.
