I like Hulu a lot, I sure hope this isn't going to be common and that ABC reverses their decision.

Everyone was thinking "oh boy this Aereo thing is the wave of the future" - thus now the networks will relent and offer tons of free online content (readily available to all). And cable companies will offer pick & choose ala carte online subscriptions. Instead "Authentication" of online TV Network content appears to be the wave of the future..... Darn those cable companies still have an iron grip -:)

These big media companies will only do something when a company like Aereo comes along and forces their hand otherwise they are just happy living in the dark ages. Can't wait for more companies to come along along and ruffle the feathers of these media companies with their antiquated business models.

Well apparently Aereo has spurred ABC to offer it's live feed online. The big "bugaboo" is that it requires "authentication" of a pay TV subscription to watch it. This is really no benefit to cord cutters at all.

I think this is really weird for an advertiser funded streaming service which is available as an over the air digital TV broadcast for free across about 99% of this country with an antenna.
