    GTV set top box
    Visio 3D TV
    Verizon FIOS
Pioneer AVR - no HDMI input - but has 3 Optical inputs
Been using GTV for about 1 year

I have been satisfied w/ my set up and was able to get audio in 5.1 through Internet, TV and Blue Ray to work w/in 1/2 hr after initial set up.

However, since the new update about 1 month ago or so I have not been able to get 5.1 audio to work even though I made zero hardware or wiring changes.

I have gone through the settings Picture and sound and I can not seem to make5.1 audio to work - even through the blue ray option. I have bought a new optical cable - just in case. Still no luck.

I have searched and read through some of the posts and there seems to be some issues people are having w/ the Logitech but I am not using this equipment and I can't say I have found a post that is exactly my problem.

The set up I have used is to from the verizon STB to the GTV STB and then optical out of the GTB STB to optical input of the AVR.

The help I would like is to get my 5.1 to work again. Can someone help.

    my settings now are:
    Picture and Sound
    Sound
    Audio (HDMI) - Auto
    Audio output priority - Optical
BD Audio Mix setting - On
    Dolby Digital (optical) on
Dolby Digital pass through - off
    DTS (Optical) - On
    Audio DRC - Standard
    Downmix - Stereo
    AV Sync - 0msec

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

thanks for forcing me back to that thread. I had been there a couple of times but failed to find the one post w/ the settings listed and then the replies seem to jump to logitech issues and I got lost.

By the way using the settings suggested fixed my issue.

    Wags.

You're welcome. Glad to help. Honestly, I got lost in the thread myself. Since I don't have the NSX-GT1, I couldn't understand the difference between les anderson's results and gerryger. So, I wasn't exactly sure what to recommend.
